Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) Silver Line Livery
DART Silver Line train livery
In 2017, the DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit) Board authorized the launch of a new East-West rail line.
In 2019 this was named the Silver Line, and design of the livery (paint scheme) began. The new train is a different manufacture than the existing light rail vehicles. The design direction was to create a look that would integrate into the existing system, be easily identifiable as a DART train, but also visually emphasize speed, modernity, and comfort.
Designers from both within and outside DART made proposals, which were vetted internally and through focus groups. Eventually this design of mine was chosen and approved by the DART Board. In 2020, I modified the nose of the train to more prominently feature high-visibility yellow, to meet evolving safety regulations.
Silver Line service is scheduled to begin service in 2026.
Lennox HVAC delivery trucks
Prior to 2016, HVAC manufacturing company Lennox did not have a consistent design for their semi-trailer delivery trucks.
I leveraged the vivid red color of their logo to create a dramatic, eye-catching design, to increase brand awareness and regard.
As these trucks would be primarily seen by HVAC servicemen and installers, the focus is on the hardware.
However, the public will also see these vehicles, on highways and in neighborhoods, so the design also appeals to potential end-customers.
As the Lennox delivery fleet is made up of many different models of semi-trailer trucks,
the design can easily be modified to fit different vehicle specifications.
