I designed the overall look of the brochure to match DART's current branding, including color-overlay monotones, full-color silhouettes, headline type treatment, and focus on "DARTable" brand positioning. My goal was to reinforce the brand to the tourist, as they would be seeing DART signage and marketing around the city.
The inside of the brochure, showcasing how to ride public transit to-and-from the airports, and to various neighborhoods around the city.
Again, I continued with the brand-centric color-washing and silhouettes.
Folding out to all 12 panels reveals DART's rail system map, as well as a smaller inset of all the transit services in the downtown area.
To the right, the Communications team wrote tourist-focused summaries of all the different neighborhoods and districts in Dallas.
It was my idea to add icons to the bottom of each summary, so the reader could tell at a glance where they could find restaurants, museums, shops, nightlife, etc.
Incorporating icons onto a map in this way was a first for DART.
